Dear Lomita Park Parents,

The Lomita Park staff, P.T.A. and School Site Council extends a warm welcome for a new and exciting school year!

Our main goal is to provide a safe and secure environment which promotes self-esteem, positive relationships with others, academic growth and decision making-skills.  There are many special programs at our school which develop students academically as well as socially.

Your child’s success depends on the parents, students, and school staff working closely together.  Many of you have already become actively involved in your child’s education at Lomita Park School and we are most grateful for all your support.  Our amazing P.T.A. has provided the much needed funds for field trips, assemblies, supplies, and a wireless computer lab. You are all encouraged to visit the classroom, be a parent volunteer and JOIN THE P.T.A.  Your participation in your child’s education is so very important to their academic and social growth.  When children see their parents take an active role at their school, they realize the importance of education and become more responsible students.

Millbrae School District also has a non-profit organization, Millbrae Education Foundation (MEF), dedicated to financially supporting programs that may be eliminated due to the budget crisis in California.  For more information, please visit www.millbraeeducationfoundation.org and read about their mission, goals and funding priorities.

Please do not hesitate to call me with any questions.  My door is always open!  I welcome your input! The staff and I look forward to the beginning of school with excitement and continued commitment to providing the best education for your child. This is going to be a great year filled with success and accomplishments for all of our students

Sincerely,

Mrs. Lynne Ferrario
Principal

Lomita Park School believes in 21st Century education with 21st Century technology.

Last year we purchased 32 brand new laptops equipped with wireless capabilities, the latest MS Office, and other educational software. This was made possible through grants, generous contributions by our community, and the PTA. Every week, our students learn new ways on how to use the computer and internet to enhance their studies.

This year, we are excited to announce that our PTA has approved the purchases of new laptops for each teacher to use in his/her classroom. We also purchased 3 brand new portable LCD projectors and screens.
