Taylor Middle School Email List:
Taylor Middle School periodically sends emails to parents, informing them of school events and other important Taylor news. If you would like to subscribe to this list: Send an email to List-TaylorNews@mesd.k12.ca.us and put the word Subscribe in the subject area.

Informal Progress Reports

• Parents must pre-arrange informal progress reports by contacting the teacher(s) so that parent-student-teacher(s) are aware.
• Teachers will not sign them, unless this pre-arrangement has occurred.
• This form should be used for students who are in jeopardy of receiving less than C grades.
• It is always the student’s responsibility to route these forms to their teacher(s) and return them to their parents.

PTA Information

The Taylor PTA contributes so much to our school. The PTA runs the Cubby Hole so students have access to supplies, they volunteer and participate in our MAZE day, organize teacher appreciation events and coordinate our fundraising events and programs. There are a number of ways you can help. Please contact the Principal if you have any questions or need additional information. You can also contact the PTA president by going directly to the PTA website where there is a link to get in touch with the president.  

All schools are affected by budget cuts and Taylor is no exception. These cuts affect programs, infrastructure and other projects at the school. Money that is raised by the PTA helps the school meet its needs with respect to: improving technology in the classroom (LCD projectors and document cameras), new computers in the classroom, funding for homework center, classroom supplies, and other items as determined through collaboration between the Principal and PTA.

We continue to participate in the eScrip program. You can sign up by going to the following website: www.escrip.com, to sign up today. The Taylor Middle School PTA group number is 500006152. You can register your credit card with the electronic fundraising program. Participating merchants contribute each time you make a purchase.

We are also continuing to collect BOX TOPS again.  We receive 10 cents per label, so every label counts! For example, In December of 2008, we received $600.00! Box Top labels can be found on the top, bottom or sides of the certain packaging. Box Tops are collected in the 6th and 7th grade core classes and 8th grade English classes. The class that collects the most will be treated to a pizza party.
